The duty of air-hostess begins with the arrival of passengers and starts with safety check, pillows, magazines, blankets, medicines, ensuring safety equipment on aboard. Special attention/care has to be given to senior or sick travelers, babies and VIPs. The pay scale is also very high. Unmarried girls are given the first preference. And training is also imparted to the air-hostess and girls entering this field are self-employed.

To be in this profession, all you are required to have is a 10+2 or a graduate degree or a diploma in the profession of hotel management or tourism management.

How to become Air Hostess/Flight Steward

The candidate should be eligible to have an Indian passport. The age criteria should be below 25 years. The height should be 157.5 centimeters. There should be equivalent weight criteria. The girls should be unmarried. Surplus advantage will be the fluency of languages. One international language, English and Hindi will be additional requirements. There is screening of an applicant followed by Physical fitness test with personality and complexion test. If you clear all these exams, then you are called for the written test. The next round is the group discussion test followed by personal interview test. After selection, you are supposed to go on training for about 2-3 months. There are various training courses given to the candidates.
