Candidates need to pas 10+2 examination to work as a gemologist. A diploma in gemology will also be very helpful. Gemologist can practiced this profession from any reputed firm or institute in India. Gemologists can also take short term and long term diploma from recognized university and college. After taking diploma or degree, one can join reputed or big jewelry shops or houses. A Post graduation in the same field will also be very helpful.
