To become a CS all you need to do is passing of 10+2 education in the required foundation course. This is a basic 8 months course. The company secretary should pass their foundation course and required examinations of Institute of Company Secretaries of India. The candidate is then eligible to appear for the final course.
After the completion of all these examinations, the CS is required to appear for a 5 day orientation training program. After this he has to undergo a 15 months training program and then can join large multinationals. There are various skills required to become a CS like:- Technological skills, Team work, Interpersonal skills, writing skills, organizational skills, Transcription skills and familiarity with the legal documents.

As a CS you are required to work with the starting pay-scale of Rs 10,000.
