Smt. S S Patil Institute of Technology founded in 1983 by Late Smt .Sharchchandrika Patil, Former Education Minister, Maharashtra State and her husband Dr. Suresh G. Patil . It is currently administered by Adv. Sandip S. Patil, son of Late Sharchchandrika akka and Suresh dada. The institute is located in the campus of Mahatma Gandhi Shikshan Mandal out side the city of Chopda near Yawal road.

The institute provides quality technical education for students from rural areas around Chopda taluka. The alumni of this institute are doing well in the field of engineering.
