Associate Membership of Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers Exam

The Institute of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) is the national apex professional body of Electronics & Telecommunication and Computer & IT Professionals. The institute conducts AMIETE for admission to its graduate courses: Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering (ET), Computer Science & Engineering (CS), Information Technology (IT).

Eligibility

• Candidate should be at least 16 years old
• Candidate should have passed Passed 10 + 2 or an equivalent exam with Physics & Maths as subjects from a recognized Board
• Candidate should have a qualification of any 3 year Diploma course in Engineering / Technology with subjects of Maths and Physics to 10+2 level and a working experience in relevant field.
• Candidate should be pursuing higher education with Physics/ Electricals/ Electronics/ Computer Science Engineering or a Diploma course

The syllabus for AMIETE is divided into two sections according to the test pattern:

Pattern

The exam consists of 20 theory papers, and a project work. The questions in the test are based on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of Class 12. The questions are objective type with four options for answer. The time limit to complete the paper is 3 hours. The exam is divided into two sections as follows:

Section A

 Part-I: Six subjects (all compulsory) · Part-II: Five subjects (all compulsory)

Section B

Part -I: Five subjects (all compulsory) · Part -II: Four subjects (2 compulsory +2 electives)
