Himachal Pradesh Takniki Shiksha Board, Dharamshala holds the Polytechnic Admission Test for Admission to 3 year Diploma Courses in the State Polytechnic institutes.

Eligibility

The candidate should have cleared the matriculation examination with atleast 35% aggregate marks. The candidate must have studied and passed the subjects Science, Mathematics and English or should have appeared in 2013 in Matriculation examination or its equivalent examination with Science, Mathematics and English from a recognized board/university or its equivalent

The HP PAT entrance syllabus is based on the syllabus of 10th standard level covering the subjects Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics & English language.

Pattern

The HP PAT test consists of two question papers- the question papers are available in Hindi & English. Both papers should be completed in 3 hours each. Each question paper has three sections covering Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

The questions are objective and are designed to the students in their comprehension, reasoning and analytical skills in the subjects given above. Some sections have negative marking.
