JEE Advanced is the next level of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main). JEE Advanced is meant for the common entrance examination for engineering admissions to the IITs and ISM, Dhanbad. Those candidates who clear the JEE Main are only eligible to attempt the JEE Advanced.
All those candidates who clear the JEE (Main Exam) can appear in the JEE Advanced exam. Candidates must be in the top 20 percentile (category wise) in their respective Boards/Qualifying Examinations.
The syllabus for this exam is similar to that of JEE (Main).
JEE-Advanced has two papers: Paper I & Paper II. The questions are objective with multiple choice answers. Questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics will be asked in both the papers. Each paper has t be completed in 3 hours. The papers are in English & Hindi languages. Maharashtra Combined Entrance Test (MHCET)/ MT CET
The entrance exam for admission to engineering courses in Maharashtra was conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education , Maharashtra. The exam, with acronym as MHCET was later changed to MT CET.
Currently, the MTCET has been cancelled. Engineering studies aspirants in Maharashtra now have to appear for JEE (Main) entrance exam. Admissions to engineering colleges in Maharashtra will be given on the basis of the candidates JEE (Main) scores.
