All India Post Graduate Dental Entrance Test or AIPGDET is a Medical Entrance Exam conducted for admissions to Master of Dental Surgery (M.D.S.) in Dr. D.Y. Patil Dental College and Hospital, Pimpri, Pune. The College is affiliated to Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth

Eligibility

Candidates should be B.D.S. degree holders from a recognized dental college included in the schedule of the Indian Dental Council Act, 1948 Those who have a registration from the Dental Council of India or from any State Dental Council, after completing one year compulsory rotator internship are also eligible. Candidates who are awaiting the completion of their internship, can also appear for the exam provided they produce certificate from Principal/Dean regarding the date of completion of the internship. Candidates who will be completing the internship before 31st March of the year of examination, can also apply for provisional admission, again on condition that they submit a certificate from the head of the institution declaring the date of completion of internship.

Pattern

There will be one question paper with a total of 125 questions and the paper has to be completed in 2 hours. The questions will be objective with multiple choice answers. Each correct answer is awarded 1 mark, and there is no negative marking in this exam. The exam will be conducted in English language only.
