The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be holding the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses for the academic year 2014-15. The entrance test will grant admission to admission to 15% all India quota seats in Government Medical/Dental Colleges across the country except in the States of Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir and also for admission to Medical/Dental Colleges who are voluntarily Participating in the test to be held on 04 May 2014 in selected cities throughout the Country and Abroad.
The candidate must be at least 17 years old at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission. The upper age limit for All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance examination. The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Bio-technology and English separately and with a minimum score of 50% marks aggregate in PCM, Biology/Biotechnology. For Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes, the above score should be at least 40% instead of 50% for General Candidates. Further, for persons for locomotory disability of lower limbs, the minimum of 45% marks for General-PH and 40% marks for SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH are required. Those who are appearing 10+2 examination in 2014 can also appear for the entrance test provisionally.

The entrance test is divided into two parts:
Preliminary Examination :
The Preliminary Examination has a paper with 200 objective type questions with multiple choice answers. The questions will be from the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology). The duration of paper would be 3 hours.
Final Examination :
Only those candidates who successfully clear the preliminary exam can appear for the final exam. This exam has one paper with 120 objective type questions with multiple choice answers. The subjects would be the same as above, and the duration for this exam is 3 hours. Candidates can opt for Question Papers either in English or in Hindi.
