BHU Medical Entrance Exam for D.M. / M.Ch. and M.D.S. is held by Banaras Hindu University for admission into Postgraduate courses namely D.M. / M.Ch. and M.D.S. Courses. The Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS) is one of the institutes of Banaras Hindu University, which imparts Medical Education. The institute offers a wide range of courses and it also conducts an All India Entrance Examination for taking admission to medical programs offered by the institute.
For D.M: Medical graduates with a M.D. (Medicine) or M.D. (Paediatrics) degree or DNB in respective subjects or equivalent degree recognized by the Medical Council of India. For the DM (Endocrinology) MD/DNB in Biochemistry candidates are also eligible.
For M.Ch: M.S. / DNB (Surgery) or equivalent degree recognized by the Medical Council of India. For the Surgical Oncology, the candidates with MS/DNB in ENT, Orthopaedics and Obst. & Gynaecology are also eligible.
For M.D.S. Program: A candidate must have completed B.D.S. from a recognized Institute/University along with their one year Compulsory Rotating Internship.
The syllabus for BHU PMT PG Medical Entrance Test is based on the subjects of M.B.B.S. course.
For D.M. / M.Ch.
One test paper with 100 objective questions, 100 minutes to complete the test paper. Each correct answer gets 3 marks and each incorrect answer gets a negative -1 mark. A candidate has to score 50% of the aggregate marks to qualify.
For M.D.S
One test paper with 100 objective questions, 100 minutes to complete the test paper. Each correct answer gets 3 marks and each incorrect answer gets a negative -1 mark. Questions will be from subjects taught in B.D.S., and the paper would be of B.D.S. standard.
A candidate has to score 50% of the aggregate marks to qualify.
No scrutiny/revaluation of any of the answer sheet of the test shall be allowed on any ground.
