The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) conducts the national level entrance exam to grant admission to all the graduate level nursing and pharmacy courses of its Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS). The University was founded by Pt. Madan Mohan Malviya in the year 1916 and is one of the oldest universities of the country. The university has several institutes offering education in medicine, technology, sciences and humanities.
To be eligible to appear for this exam, the candidate should be 10+2 pass and have studied the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English from a recognised board or university.
This entrance exam question paper has a total of 100 objective questions with multiple choice answers. The candidates have a total of 2 hours to complete the paper. The division of marks per subject will be as follows:
Physics (25 questions), Chemistry (25 questions), Biology and Zoology (50 questions)
The paper will have a total of 400 marks and candidates who clear the written test have to appear for a counseling process for admission.

Candidates can also write to the Office of the Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University by paying Rs.650 through DD in the name of the Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, make payable at Varanasi. The application fee has of Rs 600 has to be sent by MICR DD along with the completed application form.
