The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) is considered to be amongst the top five medical schools in India. Situated in Pondicherry , JIPMER is an educational institute that imparts undergraduate and postgraduate medical courses.
JIPMER conducts an entrance exam for admissions to MBBS programs, and this exam is an all India level exam.
Candidates must be citizen of India Candidates must be MBBS degree holders or an equivalent Degree recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) Candidates must have completed or due to complete One Year Rotating Internship.
The syllabus for this exam will be based on the subjects studied for MBBS Examination
The entrance exam consists of 250 single best response type objective questions with multiple choices. The exam is divided into two parts and the division of questions will be as follows:
PART I (100 Questions):Basic Clinical Sciences including Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology and Forensic Medicine & Toxicology
PART II (150 Questions): Clinical Sciences including Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Community Medicine, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, ENT, Anesthesiology, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Radio-diagnosis and Radio-therapy.
