National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Post Graduates

NEET PG has now been replaced by the (All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination). The All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Test is conducted by Dr.D.Y.Patil University every year for admission to MD, MS & Diploma medical courses by Padmashree Dr. D.Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre

Eligibility

• A MBBS degree holder from a recognized medical college is eligible.
• Candidates who have registration either from the MCI or from authorized State Medical Council after completing one year compulsory rotating internship.
• Candidates who are yet to complete one-year compulsory rotating internship are also eligible for AIPGMET.
• The candidat'se selection will be on the basis of completion of compulsory rotating internship of one year and registration.

Syllabus

The syllabus for AIPGMET syllabus includes the same subjects that are a part of M.B.B.S. Course.

Pattern

The AIPGMET exam has a total of 300 marks containing 300 multiple choice questions of one mark each. The paper will be divided into two parts: Part I will contain questions ‘per-clinical’, and Part II will contain ‘para-clinical’ questions. The test duration will be of 3 ½ hours. There will not be any negative marking for incorrect answers. The test duration: 3 hours and 30 minutes
