Applications are invited from well-qualified candidates of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Pondicherry and Lakshadweep Island, for recruitment 2012 for the following positions:
- Junior Assistant (Fire Service)
- Assistant (Office)
- Senior Assistant (Statistics)
- Senior Assistant (OL-Hindi)
- Senior Assistant (Nursing)
Note
- Selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of written test, physical measurement, driving test, endurance test and interview for the post of Junior Assistant.
- Selection for the posts of Assistant and Senior Assistant will be done on the grounds of written test and interview.
- The written test will be held at Trichy, Vijayawada, Calicut and Mysore centers.
- The written test schedule and centre address will be mentioned in the candidate’s call letter.

Eligibility Conditions
For Junior Assistant (Fire Service)
- Passed 10th class with 3 years of approved regular Diploma in Mechanical /Automobile / Fire with minimum 50% marks from a recognized Institute
Or
Passed 12th with 50% marks from a recognized Board - Should have valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License orvalid Medium Vehicle License issued minimum one year beforethe date of advertisement (15th Apr, 2012) orvalid LMV License issued minimum two years before the dateof advertisement (15th Apr, 2012)
- Should have Computer Science as one of the subjects at 12th class level
- Basic Fire Fighting Training Course from AAI Fire Training Establishment is desirable.
For Assistant (Office)
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University
- Should have minimum speed of 40 WPM in Typing
- Good working knowledge of Computer Applications
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the concerned discipline
For Senior Assistant (Statistics)
- Master’s Degree in Economics / Statistics / Mathematics from a recognized University / Institute
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in the relevant field
For Senior Assistant (OL-Hindi)
- Master’s Degree in Hindi along with English as asubject at graduation level or Post Graduation in English alongwith Hindi as a subject at graduation level
Or
Master’s Degree in any other subject other than Hindi / English from a recognized University along with Hindi / English as a compulsory / optional subject at graduation level
Or
Master’s Degree in any other subject other than Hindi / English from a recognized University along with Hindi / English as a medium of education at Graduation level and Hindi / English as a compulsory / optional subject or as a medium of examination
Or
Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University along with Hindi and English as compulsory / optional subject or either of the two as a medium of examination and other as a compulsory / optional subject, along with a Diploma / Certificate course in Translation from Hindi to English or vice-versa, or have minimum 2 years of experience in Translation work from Hindi to English or vice-versa from Central / State Govt. Offices or Established Institution etc.
For Senior Assistant (Nursing)
- Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery or its equivalent from a recognized Institute
- Should have registered as Nurse / Mid-wife or its equivalent with any State Nursing Council
- Good working knowledge of Computer Applications
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in the relevant field
Required Age
- 30 years: Junior Assistant, Assistant, Senior Assistant
- 35 years: Senior Assistant (Nursing)
- Age relaxation for SC / ST / OBC / EXS / PH candidates provided as per Government norms.
