Anna University Centre for Research Invites Applications for Admission into Ph.D/M.S Programs

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) and M.S (by research) programs for 2012 - 13.

Eligibility Conditions

For Ph.D

Master's degree of this university or any other qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in the fields of study notified from time to time by this university.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology of the university or any other qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in the fields of study with a minimum of 15 years of R and D experience in national research laboratories/public sector undertakings and with minimum of three publications in referred impact factor journals or two international patents in the last five years.

For M.S

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/M.Sc. in Science and Humanities of this university or any other qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in the fields of study notified from time to time by this university.
A minimum of 55% marks or CGPA of 5.5 on a 10 point scale in the qualifying examination (50% marks or CGPA of 5.0 on a 10 point scale for SC/ST candidates). For M.A (English) degree holders including SC/ST candidates, a minimum of 50% marks or CGPA of 5.0 on a 10 point scale.

How to Apply

Duly filled-in application should accompany with registration fee of Rs.600 for general category and Rs.300 for Tamil Nadu SC/ST candidates in the form of a demand draft drawn in favour of “The Director (Research), Anna University” payable at Chennai drawn on or after 2^nd Apr, 2012 and obtained from any nationalized bank.

Selection Procedure

Selection to the research program will be based on the performance in the written test and interview.
