Applications are invited from eligible, talented and courageous Indian candidates for the following positions:

• Assistant Sub-Inspector (Stenographer)
• Head Constable (Ministerial) 

Note

• Candidate’s appointment is to be done on temporary basis but likely to be permanent. Selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of their performance in Phase I (Written Examination) and Phase II [Physical Measurement (PST), Short Hand Test / Typing Speed Test, Documentation Verification & Medical Examination]. 

• Candidates short-listed in the initial screening on the basis of academics will be called for Phase I selection process. Candidates qualified in the Phase I will be called for Phase II selection process. The examination schedule and centre address will be mentioned in the candidate’s admit card. Eligibility Conditions 

For Assistant Sub-Inspector (Steno)

• Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) Examination or Intermediate or its equivalent examination from a recognized Board / University
  
  
• Should have minimum speed of 70 WPM in Shorthand
  
  
• Candidates should have required physical standards & medical standards as set by the BSF

For Head Constable (Ministerial)

• Matriculation qualification with three years of Diploma in Secretarial Practice / Modern Office Practice / Commercial Practice from a recognized Board of Technical Education
  
  
• Should have minimum Typing speed of 30 WPM (English) or 25 WPM (Hindi)
  
  
• Candidates should have required physical standards & medical standards as set by the BSF 

Required Age

• Candidates should be above the age of 18 years and below the age of 25 years.
• Age relaxation for SC / ST / OBC / EXS candidates provided as per government norms 

Application Fee: Rs.50 (Exempted for SC / ST / Departmental (BSF) / Women candidates) 

How to Apply

• Willing candidates can download the application format from the official link of BSF http://bsf.nic.in/doc/recruitment/r17.pdf
  
  
• For paying the application fees, candidates should obtain the DD / IPO for Rs.50, drawn in favor of Inspector General or DIG / Comdt, payable at respective SBI / Post Office of the relevant cities.
  
  
• Application form and Admit Card, duly complete in all respect, along with three attested (by Gazetted Officer) passport size photographs, DD / IPO for Rs 50, two self-addressed envelopes (25 cm x 12 cm) with affixed stamp of Rs 27 on each, attested (by Gazetted Officer) copies of all relevant certificates, should be submitted to:

  respective city's address mentioned                                             on or before 30^th Nov, 2012.
  
  
• Candidates belonging to far-flung areas can send their application by post on or before 15^th Dec, 2012.
  
  
• Candidates should mention “Application for the Post of Assistant Sub-Inspector (Stenographer) or Head Constable (Ministerial) in Border Security Force 2012” in bold letters, on the envelope in which the form would be sent.
  
  
• Candidates applying for both posts should apply with separate application form and fees for each post.
