The registration process for the Common Admission Test begin from today i.e 8th Aug, 2016. All those interested in taking CAT 2016 can visit the official website i.e www.iimcat.ac.in and follow the instructions given there.
As per schedule, the Indian Institute of Management will be conducting the examination on December 6 in 130 cities across the country and the details of test centres will be made available from October 18 onwards at the official website only. The registration will close at 5 pm on September 22.
Eligibility Conditions
Those candidates who are willing to appear for the examination need to possess at least a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised institute/university.
Note: Candidates who are in their final year or are waiting for results to be declared are also eligible to apply.
The selection of candidates will be done on the basis of Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) followed by Personal Interviews (PI) round.

- Post Graduate Programme in Management
- Post-Graduate Programme in Food and Agribusiness Management
- Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management
- Post Graduate Programme in Securities Markets
Application fee:
Candidates from General/OBC category need to pay Rs 1700 as application fee, whereas SC/ST/OBC applicants need to pay Rs 850 only.
