Applications are invited from well-qualified and skilled candidates for the posts of Assistant Professor in following various centres:

• Biosciences (Biophysics, Cancer Biology, Cytogenetics, Electron Microscopy, Genetics, Human Genetics / Biology, Microbiology and Nano-Biology)
• Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences (Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Drug Designing, Nanochemistry, Physical Chemistry)
• Comparative Literature (Culture Studies, Diasporic Literature and any modern Indian or Foreign Language)
• Computer Science and Technology (Artificial Intelligence, Network Technologies, Neural Networking and Software Engineering)
• Environmental Science and Technology (Environmental Engineering and Waste Management)
• Environmental Law (Constitutional Law, Environmental law and International Law)
• Social Studies (Development Economics, Industrial Economics and Macroeconomics)
• South and Central Asian Studies (Economics, Geography, International Relations, Political Science and Sociology)

Note

• The recruitment is to be done on temporary / contractual basis for a period of one year. Candidates’ selection will be done on the basis of their performance in the academic qualification and personal interview.
• Only short-listed candidates will be called for the interview.

Eligibility Conditions

• Should have qualified NET / SLET under UGC or PhD Degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized University
• Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline with good academic record with minimum 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E, & F, from a recognized University

• For paying the application fee, candidates should obtain a DD for Rs 100/- drawn in favor of Central University of Punjab, payable at Bathinda.
• Application form duly complete in all respect, along with the DD and self-attested copies of all relevant certificates / documents, should be submitted to The Assistant Registrar (Vice Chancellor’s Office), Central University of Punjab, City Campus, Mansa Road, Bathinda (Punjab) - 151001, by post on or before  22^nd Feb, 2012.
• Candidates should apply with separate application form for each post.
