The Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to Masters in Engineering and Masters in Pharmacy will be held on two days - July 20 and 21. To qualify for admission, an applicant will have to get at least 25% marks.
The CET will be held for students who have not appeared for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) and Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT). Officials said that there are nearly 8835 student who have not appeared in GATE or GPAT.
Officials said that 9344 students have registered for admission to 5,971 seats in Master in Engineering. As for Masters in Pharmacy, only 1751 students have registered for admission against 5000 seats available. The officials further said that if there were not many takers for the Masters in Pharmacy course, over 3000 seats might remain vacant after the CET examination.
