  • Candidates can register online by visiting the official website of HPPSC: http://hp.gov.in/hppscoafs/Default.aspx.
  • The online registration began on   4th Feb, 2012 and will close on  5th March, 2012 till 11.59 pm. Candidates can also apply in-person by sending the application form before   5th March, 2012.
  • The recruitment will be done either for direct / contract basis, depending upon the position requirement.
  • Selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of Screening Test / Personal Interview. The schedule of test / interview will be announced later.
  • The test schedule and centre name will be mentioned on the candidate’s admit card.

  • For Lecturer (Mechanical / Automobile / Information Technology / Instrumentation / Electrical / Electronics & Tele-Communication / Civil Engineering)
    • Bachelor’s Degree of Engineering / Technology in Mechanical Engineering / Automobile Engineering / Information Technology / Computer Engineering / Instrumentation Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Electronics & Tele-Communication Engineering / Civil Engineering or its equivalent qualification with 1st class division from a recognized University / Institute
    • Good knowledge of Customs, Manners and Dialects of HP
  • For Assistant Engineer (Civil)
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent qualification with 1st class division from a recognized University / Institute
    • Good knowledge of Customs, Manners and Dialects of HP
  • For Agriculture Development Officer (On Contract Basis)
    • B Sc Degree in Agriculture (4 years Programme) from a recognized University / Institute
    • M Sc Degree in Agriculture with 2nd class division from a recognized University / Institute

  • For Horticulture Development Officer (On Contract Basis)

    • Bachelor’s Degree of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BV Sc & AH) from a recognized University under the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 (Act No.52 of 1984)
    • Should have registered with State Veterinary Council under the Indian Veterinary Act, 1984 (Act No.52 of 1984)
    • Good knowledge of Customs, Manners and Dialects of HP
  • For Assistant Professor (Neurology)
    • Should have a recognized Medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part-II of the third schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act 1956
    • MD Degree in Medicine / MBBS Degree from a recognized Institute
    • DM Degree in Neurology from a recognized M.C.I. Institute
    • Minimum 3 years of teaching experience as Lecturer / Registrar / Demonstrator / Resident in any recognized Medical College
    • Should have published research papers in Index Journals
    • Good knowledge of Customs, Manners and Dialects of HP
  • For Assistant Professor (Dentistry)
    • Should have a recognized Dental qualification (BDS) included in the schedule of Indian Dentistry Act, 1948 (Act XVI of 1948)
    • MDS Degree in Dentistry from a recognized University / Institute
    • Minimum 3 of teaching experience as Registrar or its equivalent post in any recognized Medical / Dental College
    • Should have published research papers in Index Journals
    • Good knowledge of Customs, Manners and Dialects of HP 

Required Age 

    Candidates should be below the age of 45 years (Age relaxation for SC / ST / OBC / PH / Ex-servicemen candidates as per government norms)

  • Online Mode: Rs 250/- (General / General PH / Hearing Impaired / WFF of HP and Rs 63/- (SC / ST / OBC of HP)
  • Offline Mode (From Counter): Rs 300/- (General / General PH / Hearing Impaired and WFF of HP), Rs 115/- (SC / ST / OBC of HP) and Rs 50/- (Ex-Service men / Visually Impaired)
  • Offline Mode (By Post): Rs 350/- (General / General PH / Hearing Impaired and WFF of HP), Rs 165 /-(SC / ST / OBC of HP) and Rs 100/- (Ex-Service men / Visually Impaired) 

How to Apply

Online Mode 

  • Willing candidates can apply online by visiting the official link of HPPSC: http://hp.gov.in/hppscoafs/Default.aspx
  • Before filling the application form, candidates are required to pay-in the application fee of Rs 250 / Rs 63 through Challan, which can be downloaded from the official website of HPPSC.
  • Candidates can pay the fee amount in any branch of Punjab National Bank (PNB), in the Account No. mentioned on the Challan.
  • After paying the application fee through Challan, the bank will generate a Transaction ID, Branch Code No and Date of Receipt, which candidates are required to fill in the online application form for completing their form.
  • Before filling the online form, candidates should scan their passport-size photograph and signature as it is mandatory for completion of the form.
  • After successfully submitting the online application form, the system will generate a complete online application form, which candidates should keep it for future reference. 

Offline Mode 

  • Candidates can apply through OMR Computerized Application Form, which can be obtained from the Counter of HP Public Service Commission, Nigam Vihar, Shimla - 171002, in the reverse payment of Rs 300 /- Rs 115 /- Rs 50/-.
  • Candidates can also obtain the OMR Computerized Application Form by post, by sending a DD for Rs 350 /- Rs 165 /- Rs 100/-, to the Secretary, HP Public Service Commission, Nigam Vihar Shimla - 171002, by   19th Feb, 2012.
  • For paying the application fees, candidates should obtain a DD for Rs 350 /- Rs 165 /- Rs 100/-, drawn in favor of Secretary, HP Public Service Commission, Nigam Vihar Shimla - 171002, payable at Shimla.
  • Application form duly complete in all respect along with a passport-size photograph and DD should be submitted to Controller of Examinations, Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission, Nigam Vihar, Shimla - 171002, by post / speed post / courier / by hand, on or before  5th March, 2012.
  • Candidates from far-flung areas can submit their application forms on or before  19th March, 2012.
  • Candidates should mention “Name of Examination / Post” on the top of the application form.
