Applications are invited from knowledgeable professionals for various research posts, for the Division of Entomol for the following posts in the mentioned project: 

Project Title:  Crop Plants which remove their own major Biotic Constraints 
Project Leader: Dr. G.T. Gujar 

• Research Associate
• Senior Research Fellow 

Project Title:  National Facility on Insect Rearing and Xenobiotic-cum-Transgenic Bioassays

• Junior Research Fellow 

Note

• Candidates will be appointed on temporary basis for a period of one year, which can be extended further till the time of completion of the project. Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of Walk-in-Interview. 

• Interview is scheduled to be held on 20^thJul, 2012. The interview will be held at:

Eligibility Conditions 

For Research Associate

• Ph.D in Life Sciences / Biosciences / Entomology / Zool-Entomology / Plant Protection / Pest control from a recognized University
• Experience of research / teaching in the relevant field is desirable.

For Senior Research Fellow

• M.Sc Degree in Entomology / Agriculture Entomology / Zoology Entomology / Plant Protection / Life Sciences / Biosciences from a recognized University / Institute
• Good knowledge of Insect Genetics, Physiology, Rearing and Bioassay Techniques with evidence is desirable.

For Junior Research Fellow

• B.Sc Degree in Life Sciences from a recognized University / Institute
• Good knowledge of Insect Rearing, Microbial Techniques, Biochemical Techniques is desirable. 

Required Age

• 35 years: Senior Research Fellow
• 40 years: Research Associate
• Age relaxation for SC / ST / OBC / EXS candidates provided as per ICAR rules
