Applications are invited from eligible and competent Indian aspirants for the posts of Officers (Assistant Commandant) in various branches for the following positions:

Special Recruitment Drive for SC / ST candidates

• Assistant Commandant General Duty
• Assistant Commandant General Duty (Pilot / Navigator)
• Assistant Commandant Technical (Electrical / Electronics)

All Categories (General / OBC / SC / ST)

• Assistant Commandant General Duty
• Assistant Commandant Technical (Mechanical Engineers)

Note

• Candidates’ selection will be made on the basis of Preliminary Selection Examination followed by Mental Ability Tests (MAT), PP&DT (Picture Perception and Discussion Test), Psychologist Test, Group Testing and Interview. Only short-listed candidates will called for the preliminary selection round.
• The preliminary selection will be held in the third week of March 2012, at Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and Noida centers. 
• Candidates can register online by visiting the official website of Indian Coast Guard: http://www.joincoastguard.org/. Online registration begins from  27^th Feb, 2012 and will close on  15^th March, 2012.

Eligibility Conditions

For Assistant Commandant General Duty

• Passed 12^th Class with Mathematics & Physics with 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized Board / School
• Bachelor’s Degree with 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized University.

For Assistant Commandant General Duty (Pilot / Navigator)

• Passed 12^th Class with 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized Board / School
• B Sc Degree with Mathematics & Physics with 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized University.

For Assistant Commandant Technical (Electrical / Electronics)

• Bachelors’ Degree in Electrical / Telecommunication & Electronic or its equivalent qualification with 60% marks from a recognized University / Institute Or
• Should have passed in Section ‘A’ & ‘B’ of Institute of Engineers (India) Examination in the related discipline with 60% marks in aggregate.

For Assistant Commandant Technical (Mechanical Engineers)

• Degree in Naval Architecture / Mechanical / Marine / Design / Production / Aeronautical / Auto motive / Mechtronics / Industrial and Production / Metallurgy / Design / Aeronautical / Aerospace / Control & Production with 65% marks in aggregate from a recognized University / Institute with minimum 60% marks in 12th Std of 10+2+3 scheme of education Or
• Should have passed in Section ‘A’ & ‘B’ of Institute of Engineers (India) Examination in the relevant discipline with 60% marks in aggregate.

Required Age

• Candidates should be above the age of 21 years and below the age of 30 years (Age relaxation for SC / ST / OBC / PWD candidates as per government norms)

How to Apply

• Candidates, who fulfill the eligibility criteria and are willing to apply, can fill the online application form by visiting the official link of Indian Coast Guard: http://www.joincoastguard.org/
• The online registration begins from February 27, 2012 and will close on March 15, 2012.
• After successful submission of the application form, the system will generate an Acknowledgement Slip with a Registration Number, which the candidates are required to take two copies, as it will have to be submitted at the time of test.
• Candidates appearing for the Preliminary Selection Examination should bring two copies of Pre-filled in Online Application form with affix passport size photographs, and Original copies of all the certificates, along with them.
