Applications are invited from talented and well-qualified aspirants for the project sanctioned by ICMR Task Force Projects for the following positions under mentioned projects:

Project: Socio-Cultural Features of Leprosy for Treatment and Control in Primary Health Care Services in India
Scientist B (Non Medical)
Technical Officer A (Social work)
Project: A study on Endemicity of Leprosy and Utilization of Health Services in Selected Areas of Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Tamil Nadu
Technical Assistant (Lab)
Technician C (Lab)
Project: Occurrence of Relapse and Non-Responsive to Treatment in Leprosy and Screening of M.leprae Isolates for Drug Resistance using molecular and Mouse Footpad Techniques
Technician C (Lab)
Technician C (Field)

Note

The appointment is to be done on temporary / adhoc basis for a period of six months. Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of walk-in-interview.
The interview is scheduled to be held on March 5, 2012. The interview will be held at National Institute of Epidemiology (ICMR), Second Main Road, Ayapakkam, Ambattur, Chennai (Tamil Nadu) - 600077, from 09.30 am to 01.00 pm.

Eligibility Conditions

For Scientist B (Non Medical)

Master’s Degree in Social Work / Medical Sociology / Anthropology / Psychology with 1st class division from a recognized University / Institute Or
Master's Degree in Social work / Medical Sociology / Anthropology / Psychology with 2nd class division and PhD Degree in Social work / Medical Sociology / Anthropology / Psychology from a recognized University / Institute
Good command over Tamil and English Languages
Minimum 5 years of working experience in the relevant field
Candidates should be below the age of 35 years.

For Technical Officer A (Social work)

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work / Medical Sociology / Anthropology / Psychology from a recognized University / Institute
Minimum 5 years of working experience in the relevant field
Good working knowledge of Computer Software for qualitative and quantitative data analysis
Good command over Tamil and English Languages
Candidates should be below the age of 30 years.

For Technical Assistant (Lab)

Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology / Medical Microbiology from a recognized University / Institute
DMLT Certificate from a recognized Institute or minimum one year of working experience in the Microbiology Lab.
Good working knowledge of Computer Applications
Candidates should be below the age of 30 years.

For Technician C (Lab)

Passed 10+2 with Science subjects or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Board / School
Two years of Diploma in DMLT from a recognized College / Institute
Good working knowledge of Computer Applications
Candidates should be below the age of 30 years.

For Technician C (Field)

Passed 10+2 with Science subjects or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Board / School
Minimum 2 years of working experience in the relevant field
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work / Medical Sociology / Anthropology / Psychology from a recognized University / Institute is desirable
Good command over Tamil and English Languages
Candidates should be below the age of 30 years.
