Applications are invited from talented and skilled aspirants, for various faculty positions for the following posts:

• Professor
• Associate Professor
• Assistant Professor

• The recruitment is to be done on direct / deputation basis. Selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of their performance in academics, working experience and personal interview.

Eligibility Conditions

For Post of Professor

• Doctoral degree in Post Harvest Technology, Food Engineering, Food Process Engineering / Agriculture Engineering or Food Technology or Chemical Engineering with specialization in Food Process Engineering / Bio-Chemistry from a recognized University / Institute
• Specialization in Post Harvest Technology is desirable
• Minimum 10 years of working experience, out of which 3 years of experience should be on the Associate Professor
• Evidence of contribution to research / teaching / extension education by published work / innovation
• Candidates should be below the age of 50 years

For Post of Associate Professor

• Doctoral degree in Post Harvest Technology Food Engineering, Food Process Engineering / Agriculture Engineering or Food Technology or Chemical Engineering with specialization in Food Process Engineering / Agri Entomology from a recognized University / Institute
• Minimum 4 years of working experience in the relevant field as Assistant Professor
• Evidence of contribution to research / teaching / extension education by published work / innovation
• Specialization in Post Harvest Technology of Foods is desirable
• Candidates should be below the age of 45 years

For Post of Assistant Professor

• Master’s degree in Food Science / Food Technology / Plant Pathology with specialization in Food Processing area and Plant Physiology from a recognized University / Institute
• PhD degree in the relevant disciplines or NET qualified
• Candidates should be below the age of 30 years

Application Fee: Rs 500/- (Exempted for SC / ST candidates)

• For paying the application fees, candidates can obtain the DD for Rs 500/-, drawn in the favor of Director, Indian Institute of Crop Processing Technology, Pudukkottai Road, Thanjavur - 613005, payable at Thanjavur.
• Candidates should mention their name & address on the reverse side of the DD.
• Application form duly complete in all respect, along with the DD and attested copies of all the certificates should be submitted to The Director, Indian Institute of Crop Processing Technology, Pudukkottai Road, Thanjavur (Tamil Nadu) - 613005, by post on or before  30^th April, 2012.
• Candidates should mention “Application for the Post of _______” on the envelope in which the form would be sent.
