Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into PhD Programme for the academic year 2018. 

Total Number of Seats: 15 Seats 

5 year PhD Programme in

• Economics and Trade Policy
• Finance
• General Management and Strategy
• IT Innovation and Technology Management
• Marketing and Operations
• Supply Chain Management 

Eligibility Conditions

• Master’s degree (including IIFT MPIB)/M.Phil degree in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 55% marks or equivalent to B Plus in aggregate.
                                                    OR
  Diploma courses which are considered equivalent to Masters Degree (e.g. PGDIM from IIMs) with 55% marks or CGPA equivalent to B plus, recognized by AICTE/UGC only would be considered. In such cases, applicants would be required to produce the necessary certificate(s) from the competent authority. 

• Overseas students can also apply as long as they satisfy the above-mentioned criteria. They need to produce GMAT score to get the exemption from appearing in Entrance Tests. 

• Applicants only with GMAT scores of 500 and above may apply. However, they will be required to appear for viva-voce and attend the coursework in the campus if selected

• Application Form and Brochure for the Ph.D Programme can be downloaded from the website www.iift.edu 

• Applicants applying for both Full-Time and Part-Time Ph.D. Programme need to fill in the Application Form and submit the same to the Institute along with a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs.2,500/- (Rs 1250/- in respect of SC/ST applicants and US$120 for Foreign Nationals) in favour of Indian Institute of Foreign Trade payable at New Delhi so as to reach latest at the following address:

• On the cover of the submitted application envelope, indicate ‘Application for Ph.D. 2018 Programme’ as the subject. 

Admission Dates

• Last Date for Submission of Application & Statement of Purpose: 27^th Apr, 2018 

• Notification of eligible applicants for Written Entrance Exam: 11^th May, 2018 

• Date of Written Entrance Exam & Descriptive Test: 27^th May, 2018 

• Declaration of Result of Written Entrance Exam: 08^th Jun, 2018 

• Personal Interview at IIFT Campus in New Delhi: 01^st week of July 2018 

• Declaration of Final Results: 04^th week of July 2018 

• Commencement of the PhD Program: 2^nd week of August 2018
