Applications are invited from efficient candidates for the post of Junior Mechanic(s), for recruitment 2012 (in special drive for Other Backward Castes)

• Junior Mechanic in Department of Civil Engineering
• Junior Mechanic in the Department of Energy Science & Engineering
• Junior Mechanic in the Department of Energy Science & Engineering
• Junior Mechanic in the Office of the Dean (IPS) 

Note

Posts offered are temporary for a period of three years. However, the selected candidates may be considered for appointment on permanent basis subject to an assessment. Selection will be made on the basis of candidate's performance in the interview, to be conducted by the Institute. Eligibility Conditions

For Junior Mechanic in the Department of Civil Engineering

• Should have obtained Diploma in Civil Engineering / Construction Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering / Instrumentation Engineering of three years duration

For Junior Mechanic in the Department of Energy Science & Engineering

• Should have obtained Diploma in Mechanical Engineering of three years duration
  
  
• Should have knowledge of computer applications

For Junior Mechanic in Department of Energy Science & Engineering

• Should have obtained Diploma in Electrical Engineering of three years duration
  
  
• Should have knowledge of computer applications

For Junior Mechanic in the Office of the Dean (IPS)

• Should have obtained Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Air con systems of three years duration 

Required Age:  30 years (relaxation for PH / Ex ­ Serviceman as per rules) 

Application Fee: Rs.50 (exempted for PH / Woman candidates) 

How to Apply

• Candidates, who fulfill the eligibility criteria and are willing to apply, are required to apply in applications with full particulars quoting advertisement No. H­24/12­13 (i.e.: http://www.iitb.ac.in/SpJrMech.pdf).
  
  
• The application fee is Rs.50 (exempted for PH / Woman candidates), which is to be paid in the form of DD drawn in favour of Registrar, IIT Bombay payable on SBI, Powai, Mumbai.
• The duly filled in and completed applications in the prescribed format, along with DD and copies of certificates / testimonials, caste (latest non­creamy layer certificate is essential), should be sent to the:
