All the eligible candidates are invited for recruitment 2011, for the following post of Junior Engineering Assistant-IV :
- Junior Engineering Assistant-IV (Production)
- Junior Engineering Assistant-IV (Instrumentation)
- Junior Engineering Assistant-IV (Electrical Maintenance)
- Junior Engineering Assistant-IV (Mechanical Maintenance - Rotary Equipment)
- Junior Engineering Assistant-IV (Mechanical Maintenance - Machinist)
- Junior Engineering Assistant-IV (Fire & Safety)
Note:
Selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of their performance in the written test, followed by personal interview, to be conducted by the institute. The written test and interview will be conducted at Mathura.
Eligibility Conditions
For Junior Engineering Assistant-IV (Production)
- Should have obtained 3 years Diploma in Chemical Engineering with minimum 60% marks or B Sc with Physics, Chemistry and Maths with minimum 60% marks
- Should have minimum 2 years experience in operation (in rotating shift) of Pump House, Fired Heater, Compressor, Distillation column/reactor in a Petroleum Refinery, Petrochemical or Fertilizer / Heavy Chemical / Gas Processing Industry. Knowledge of safety aspects of handling Petroleum, Petrochemical products is essential.
For Junior Engineering Assistant-IV (Instrumentation)
- Should have obtained 3 years Diploma in Instrumentation / Industrial Electronics Engineering with minimum 60% marks
- Should have minimum 2 years experience in maintenance of Electronic Instruments of a large Chemical Plant like Petroleum Refinery / Fertilizer / Petrochemical Complex or a large Power plant (more than 100 MW capacity)
- Having knowledge of layout / Installation standard / Cable schedule / wiring diagram / Impulse piping / Cu-tubing / Fluid Pressure / Temperature / Level Inst. / Control valve is essential
- Candidates having work experience of DCS/PLC & Analyzer will be preferred.
For Junior Engineering Assistant-IV (Electrical Maintenance)
- Should have obtained 3 yrs Diploma in Electrical Engineering with minimum 60% marks
- Should have minimum 2 years experience in operation of Generator / Distribution of Substation comprising of both HT and LT at 0.4 and 6.6 KV level or above; and/or maintenance of HT/LT Switchgears (PCC& MCC), Transformers, Motors, Starters, Storage Batteries, Battery Chargers, UPS, variable speed drivers, protection relays etc.
- Candidates with experience of operation and maintenance of Electronic Telephone Exchanges, maintenance of Electronic Meters, Electromagnetic / Static / Numerical Relays will be preferred.
For Junior Engineering Assistant-IV (Mechanical Maintenance-Rotary Equipment)
- Should have obtained 3 years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 60% marks or Matric with ITI in Fitter Trade with minimum 60% marks
- Should have minimum 2 years experience for diploma holders & 3 years experience for Matric with ITI in Mechanical Maintenance of large Chemical Plant like Petroleum Refinery / Fertilizer / Petrochemical Complex. Candidates should have knowledge of Rotary Equipment maintenance like pumps / compressors / turbine, alignment, vibration monitoring.
- Candidates having work experience on Centrifugal / Reciprocating compressor will be preferred.
For Junior Engineering Assistant-IV (Mechanical Maintenance-Machinist)
- Should have obtained 3 years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 60% marks or Matric with ITI in Machinist Trade with minimum 60% marks
- Should have minimum 2 years experience for diploma holders & 3 years experience for Matric with ITI on Machines like Lathe, Boring / Shaping / Drilling machine etc.
- Candidates having work experience on Vertical Boring Machine will be preferred.
For Junior Engineering Assistant-IV (Fire & Safety)
- Should have obtained Matric / SSC with Sub officers’ course from Nagpur & HMV License Or Matric / SSC with Fireman’s course & HMV License from recognized institute
- Should possess the Physical Standards: Height-165 cm, Weight-50 kg, Chest: Normal-81 cm, Expanded-86 cm, Eyesight normal without glasses, color vision normal. Candidates should be free from any vertigo problem, disease of heart, lungs kidney and abnormal blood pressure.
- Should have minimum 2 years experience in Petroleum / Petrochemical / Fertilizer / Gas Processing Plant.
Required Age
Minimum 18 years and maximum 26 years: As on September 1, 2011 for Junior Engineering Assistant-IV (Electrical Maintenance) and October 1, 2011 for other posts.
Note
Relaxation in upper age limit by 5 years for SC/ST candidates & 3 years for OBC candidates and Ex-servicemen as per rules.

- Candidates, who fulfill the eligibility criteria and are willing to apply, can download the prescribed proforma from the IOCL’s official website: https://www.iocl.com/.
- The application fee is Rs 100 (exempted for SC/ST and ex-servicemen candidates) which should be paid only in the form of DD. The DD should be drawn in favour of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, R&P Division, Mathura Refinery, payable at Mathura.
- Candidates must attach self attested photocopies of testimonials (proof of age, education qualification, experience, and caste certificate) as without them, the applications are liable to be rejected.
- The duly filled in application form, along with requisite documents and DD (if applicable), should be sent by ordinary post ONLY to Post Box No. B-15, Head Post Office, Civil Line, Mathura - 281001, Uttar Pradesh, latest by December 23, 2011.
- Candidates must mention “Advertisement No 2/2011” and post applied for (whichever applicable) on the top of the envelope in which application would be sent.
- Candidates employed in Govt. Department / Public sector organizations should apply through proper channel.
- Candidates must note that one candidate can apply for one post only.
