Applications are invited from eligible, talented and skillful candidates of India for the posts of Clerical Staff.

  • Appointment of the candidates is to be done in the state / union territory of Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Andaman, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Chandigarh, Delhi, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Puducherry, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal branches. 
  • Candidates’ selection will be made on the basis of their performance in the IBPS CWE for Clerks 2011-12 Total Weighted Standard Score (TWS), and Personal Interview. Only short-listed candidates will be called for the personal interview by the selection committee. The interview is scheduled to be held in the month of August / September 2012. The interview schedule and centre address will be mentioned in the candidates’ call letter.

Eligibility Conditions 

  • Passed HSC of 10+2+3 pattern or Intermediate / Pre-University or any equivalent examination with minimum 65% marks in aggregate from a recognized Board / University
          Or  
    Diploma in Banking recognized with minimum 60% marks in aggregate by Central / State Government / UT Administration
         Or   
    Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline or its equivalent qualification with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized University / Institute

  • Candidates should have obtained IBPS score in CWE for Clerks 2011-12, as per minimum cut off of individual subjects i.e., minimum 24 & above (General) & minimum 21 & above (SC / ST / OBC / PC / EXSM) and have Total Weighted Standard Score (TWSS) of minimum 120 (General) & minimum 105 (SC / ST / OBC / PC / EXSM)

  • Should have proficiency in Official Language of the State / UT for which the candidate is applying

  • Should have fluency in English language

  • Should have operating & working knowledge of Computer 

Required Age

  • Candidates should be above the age of 18 years and below the age of 28 years.
  • Age relaxation for the SC / ST / OBC / PWD candidates provided as per Government norms

  • Before filling the online application form, candidates have to pay a fee amount of Rs.200 / Rs.50, through Challan, which can be downloaded from the official website of Indian Overseas Bank.

  • For paying the application fees, candidates can download the fee payment Challan from the official link of Indian Overseas Bank: http://www.iob.in/Careers.aspx

  • Candidates can make the payment of fees amount in any branch of Indian Overseas Bank in the Account No. and Account Name mentioned on the Challan.

  • Fees payment commences from  29th Jun, 2012 and will close on  14th Jul, 2012.

  • After payment of the fees, the bank will generate a Candidate’s Challan copy with information of Transaction ID, Branch Name, Branch Code, and Date of Deposit & Amount, which candidates are required to fill in the online application form for its completion.

  • After successful submission of the application form, the system will generate a Registration Number and Password, which candidates should keep with them for future reference.

  • After submitting the application form, candidates should take a printout of the filled-in application form, as it will have to be submitted at the time of interview along with the fee payment Challan copy and attested copies of all relevant certificates.
