Department of Space (DOS) invites applications from young, eligible and dedicated candidates for centralized recruitment for the following positions:

• Assistants
• Junior Personal Assistants

Note:

• The centralized recruitment is being done for filling-up various ISRO centres/units, spread across India. The recruitment is to be done purely on temporary basis, but can extend depending upon the performance of the candidates. Selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of written test scheduled to be held on February 26, 2012 (Sunday) at the following six venues: Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Chennai and Thiruvananthapuram.
• Furthermore, only those candidates short-listed based on their performance in the written test/skill test (wherever applicable) will be called for interview. The schedule and venue of the interview will be intimated later.

Eligibility Conditions

For Assistant

• Should have done graduation in Arts / Commerce / Management / Science / Computer Applications with First Class division, as declared by the University.
• Should have sound knowledge on the use of Computers.

For Junior Personal Assistant

• Should have done graduation in Arts / Commerce / Management / Science / Computer Applications with First Class division, as declared by the University Or diploma in Commercial / Secretarial Practice with First Class with one year experience as Steno-typist / Stenographer
• Must have a minimum speed of 80 WPM in English Stenography
• Should possess good knowledge on the use of Computers.

Required Age

• Candidates should not exceed 26 years of age, as on December 14, 2011. (the maximum age limit is 31 years in case of SC/ST candidates and 29 years for OBC candidates)
• One must note that Ex-Servicemen, Persons with Disabilities, Widows, Divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands and who are not remarried are eligible for age relaxation as per Govt. of India norms.

Application Fee: Rs 100 (Exempted for women, SC, ST, Ex-servicemen and PWD candidates)

How To Apply

• Candidates, who fulfill the eligibility criteria and are willing to apply, are required to apply online by logging onto the ISRO’s official website: http://www.isac.gov.in/.
• The direct links for the online application forms are: for Assistant (Post No. 1): http://www.isac.gov.in/CentralOCB/OCBpage1.jsp & for Junior Personal Assistant (Post No. 2): http://www.isac.gov.in/CentralOCB/Stenopage1.jsp.
• One must note that the online registration will be hosted on ISRO website between November 22, 2011 and December 14, 2011. Upon registration, applicants will be allotted an online registration number, which should be carefully preserved for future use.
• After online registration, candidates will be required to download and print the personalized payment Challan form (in three parts), from the ISRO website. This payment Challan should be used to remit the application fee (Rs 100, wherever applicable).
• In order to submit the application fee, candidates can visit any nearest branch of State Bank of India and submit the amount to Receipt Account No. 32034064593 by using the personalized payment Challan of State Bank of India on any day between November 22, 2011 and December 14, 2011. However, the last date to remit application fee is December 15, 2011. It is also notified that Banker's charges of Rs 30 to be borne by the candidates only.
• Upon remittance of the application fee, one part of the Challan form will be retained by State Bank [Bank copy] while the remaining two parts will be given to the candidate.
• Out of the two challan parts, one part (applicant copy) must be retained by the candidate while the other part (ISRO copy) should be sent to Sr. Administrative Officer (ICRB), ISRO Headquarters, Antariksh Bhavan, New BEL Road, Bangalore - 560 231, by post, super-scribing on the envelope “ICRB - Recruitment Of Assistant And Junior Personal Assistant” within 7 days of filing of application, or in any case, latest by December 21, 2011.
