Applications are invited from well-qualified and skilled Indian candidates for the posts of Junior Research Fellows  in following research areas:

• Chemical Sciences
• Physical Sciences
• Metallurgy or Materials Science
• Engineering Sciences

Note

• Selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of written test followed by interview.
• The written test is scheduled to be held on  12^th May, 2012, and interview is scheduled on  13^th May, 2012.
• The written test and interview will be held at Chennai centre.

Eligibility Conditions

• M Sc Degree in Physics / Materials Science with Mathematics / Numerical Methods as one of the subjects or M Sc Degree in Chemistry or M Sc / M Tech Degree in Meteorology / Atmospheric Sciences / Physical Oceanography with 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized University Or
• BE / B Tech / BS / B Sc Degree of Engineering / Technology in Computer Science & Engineering / Metallurgical Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering / Electronics & Communication Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering with 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized University / Institute.

Required Age

• Candidates should be below the age of 28 years (Age relaxation for SC / ST / OBC / PH candidates as per organization norms).

• Application form and Hall Ticket duly complete in all respect, along with attested copies of all the relevant certificates, should be submitted to The Administrative Officer II (Recruitment), Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam - 603102, Kancheepuram District, Tamil Nadu, by registered / speed post, on or before  23^rd March, 2012.
• Candidates should mention “Application for the post of JRF, Advertisement No. 01/2012 and Discipline___________” on the envelope in which the form would be sent.
