All the eligible candidates are invited for the posts of Registrar and Finance Officer. The appointment shall be made either on deputation or on direct recruitment basis for a term of five (5) years.

Note

  • The Finance Officer/Registrar shall be eligible for reappointment, provided that he/she shall retire on attaining the age of 62 years.
  • Selection will be made on the basis of candidates’ performance in the personal interview, to be conducted by the University. However, the University reserves its right to limit the total number of candidates to be called for the interview.

Eligibility Conditions

For Registrar

  • Essential Qualification:
    • Should have obtained Master Degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in seven point scale
    • Should have at least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor / Associate Professor in the AGP of Rs 7000, of which 8 years should be as Associate Professor in the AGP of Rs 9000 along with experience in educational administration, or
    • Should have comparable experience in Research Establishments and other institutions of higher education, or
    • Should have at least 15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 years should be as Deputy Registrar in the Grade Pay of Rs 7600 or an equivalent post.
  • Desirable Qualification:
    • Should have experience of handling legal matters and computer operation
    • Should have experience of administrative practices, human resource management, statuary functions of the educational Institution/University
    • Candidates having working experience of Registrar in educational Institutions will be preferred.

Note: The minimum 55% marks shall not be insisted upon in the case of existing incumbents who are already in the University service.

For Finance Officer

  • Essential Qualification:
    • Should have obtained Master’s Degree with Commerce or Business Administration (Finance) with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in UGC seven point scale or Comparable equivalent degree in relevant area.
    • Should have at least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor / Associate Professor, with 8 years as Associate Professor in AGP of Rs 9000 along with experience in educational administration, or
    • Should have comparable experience in Research Establishment and/or other institutions of higher education, or
    • Should have 15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 years should be as Deputy Registrar in Grade Pay of Rs 7600 or above or an equivalent post with experience in Finance and Accounts, or
    • Should be a qualified CA or ICWA/SAS with at least 15 years of working experience in the relevant field of activities
  • Desirable Qualification:
    • Candidates having work experience of Budgeting & Financial Accounting etc. in Autonomous bodies / University will be preferred.
    • Should have good working knowledge of rules & regulations of Central Universities, R&D institutions relating to accounts/audit, service conditions and related financial matters

Note: Relaxation of 5% marks (from 55% to 50%) will be provided at the Master’s level in the case of SC/ST/Physically handicapped candidates.

Required Age

For both posts (Registrar and Finance Officer) - Maximum age of 55 years as on the January 5, 2012.

  • The application fee (non-refundable) is Rs 500 (Rs 250 for SC/ST candidates) which is to be paid in the form of DD drawn in favour of Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, payable at State Bank of India, Branch-Amarkantak.
  • The application duly filled in application form in the prescribed format, along with DD and requisite documents, should be sent to the office of the Vice Chancellor, Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkantak, latest by January 5, 2012.
  • The envelope containing the application should be super-scribed as “Application for the post of Registrar/Finance Officer”.
  • Candidates should send separate application along with application fee for each post applied for.
  • Applicants serving in Government / Semi-Government organizations / Public Sector Undertakings / Autonomous Bodies must send their applications through proper channel. In addition, the applications received without the recommendations of the employers will not be considered. However, an advance copy of application may be sent followed by the original application through proper channel.
