Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into following programme for 2014-15.

2 years full time

• Master of Arts (M.A)/Master of Science (M.Sc) in Population Studies
• M.Sc in Bio-Statistics & Epidemiology

1 year

• Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in Population Studies
• Master of Population Studies (M.P.S) programs

Eligibility Conditions

For M.A/M.Sc in Population Studies

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with at least 55% of marks or equivalent grade. Preference shall be given to candidates holding a bachelor’s degree in Math/Stat/Eco or any social science subject. The upper age limit is 25 years as on 30.6.2014.

For M.Sc in Bio-Statistics and Epidemiology

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with at least 55% of marks or equivalent grade with Mathematics or Statistics as core subject or other subject with atleast two full papers on Mathematics or Statistics. The upper age limit is 25 years as on 30.6.2014.

How to Apply

• Prescribed application form and information can be obtained from the Assistant Registrar (Academic), International Institute for Population Sciences, Deonar, Mumbai - 400088 in person or by sending a self addressed Rs.50 stamped envelope (25cm x 12cm) on or before 30th May, 2014.
  
  
• The completed application form along with necessary enclosures and a non-refundable processing fee of Rs.500- (exempted for SC/ST and PH candidates) by Demand Draft, drawn from any nationalized bank in favour of the Director, IIPS, Mumbai should reach the Assistant Registrar (Academic) on or before 2^nd Jun, 2014.
  
  
• The processing fee may also be paid by cash at the cash counter and the cash receipt should be attached along with the completed application set.
  
  
• Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected. The institute reserves every right to cancel the course at any moment.

Selection Procedure

• The selection will be made on the basis of a written test and personal interview conducted by the institute.

• Last date to obtain application form: 30^th May, 2014 (Friday)
• Last date for receipt of applications along with application fee and DD: 2^nd Jun, 2014 (Monday)

• For M.A/M.Sc Population Studies: 19^th Jun, 2014 (Thursday) and 20^th Jun, 2014 (Friday)
• For M.Sc in Bio-Statistics & Epidemiology: 24^th Jun, 2014 (Tuesday) and 25^th Jun, 2014 (Wednesday)
• For M.P.S: 26^th Jun, 2014 (Thursday) and Friday, June 27^th Jun, 2014 (Friday)
• For M.Phil in Population Studies: 3^rd Jul, 2014 (Thursday) and 4^th Jul, 2014 (Friday)
