Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into the D.M and M.Ch Programs for the January 2019 Sessions. Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are also eligible to apply.

Eligibility Conditions 

• Applicants must have passed M.D. / DNB Degree from any University recognized equivalent there to by the Medical Council of India. 

Eligibility for D.M. Subject

Cardiology

• M.D. / DNB Degree in General Medicine / Pediatrics / Pulmonary Medicine of this Institute or any other Institute/University recognized as equivalent there to by the Medical Council of India. 

Clinical Immunology/Endocrinology/Nephrology/Neurology

• M.D./ DNB Degree in General Medicine / Pediatrics of this Institute or any other Institute/University recognized as equivalent there to by the Medical Council of India. 

Clinical Pharmacology

• Candidates should have passed M.D./ DNB Degree in Pharmacology from any University recognized as equivalent there to by the Medical Council of India. 

Medical Oncology

• M.D./ DNB Degree in Medicine / Pediatrics / Radiotherapy of this Institute or any other Institute/University recognized as equivalent there to by the Medical Council of India. 

Neonatology

• M.D./DNB Degree in Pediatrics of this Institute or any other Institute/University recognized as equivalent there to by the Medical Council of India. 

Eligibility for M.Ch Subject

Cardio-Thoracic & Vascular Surgery/ Neuro-Surgery/Urology/ Surgical Gastroenterology /Plastic Surgery Pediatric Surgery

• M.S. / DNB Degree in General Surgery of this Institute or any other Institute/University recognized as equivalent there to by the Medical Council of India. 

Surgical Oncology

• M.S./ DNB Degree in General Surgery / Obstetrics & Gynecology / Otolaryngology (E.N.T) / Orthopedic Surgery of this Institute or any other Institute/University recognized as equivalent there to by the Medical Council of India. 

Mode of Entrance Exam

• Online based distributed object systems.

The following fees (provisional, subject to revision) will be payable by each Applicant at the time of admission.

• Academic Fee (Annual) – Rs.2100/-

• The Prospectus and Instructions can be downloaded from the JIPMER Website (www.jipmer.edu.in). 

• Applicants seeking admission to entrance examination are required to apply online only. 

• Log on to link in the Home page www.jipmer.edu.in and navigate to the link “Apply on-line D.M./M.Ch./Fellowship admission – 2019 Session”. 

• Read the Prospectus and Instruction carefully. 

• The flow chart for filling application on-line given as Appendix in the Prospectus. 

• The candidate should acquaint himself/herself with all requirements with regard to filling up the application online. 

• Mode of payments are a) Net Banking, b) Credit Card, c) Debit Card.

• Online Registration from: September 2018
• Online Registration closes on: October 2018
• Download of Hall Ticket from JIPMER Website (the Hall tickets will be made available through Internet download ONLY and NOT by Post): November 2018 to December 2018
• Date & Time of Entrance Exam – Online Mode Only: December 2018
• Expected Date of Publication of Merit List: December 2019
• Counseling and Admission Process: December 2018
• Admission formalities by personal appearance: January 2019
• Commencement of Academic Session: January 2019
• Closure of admissions for January 2019 Session: July 2019
• Result: Results will be displayed in Notice Board of Academic Section, JIPMER and in JIPMER website (www.jipmer.edu.in) only.
