The Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Solan has invited applications for admission to its Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme in the below mentioned disciplines for the academic session 2017.
- Biotechnology and Bioinformatics
- Computer Science and Engineering
- Electronics and Communication Engineering
- Mathematics and Physics
- Materials Science and Civil Engineering
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
Aspiring candidates should be holding an M.Tech degree of a university or equivalent, for PhD in engineering/technology/sciences/humanities/social sciences/management/pharmacy in respective branch, with 60 per cent aggregate marks or CGPA not less than 6 on scale of 10.
They must have a consistently good academic record/performance with first division all through; i.e. 60 per cent aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA of not less than 6 on a scale of 10 at undergraduate and post graduate level.
Selection Procedure:
Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of a PhD entrance test conducted by JUIT, Waknaghat. Those who will qualify will then have to appear for a written test which will be conducted by the university. Those who have qualified in NET/SLET/UGC/CSIR (JRF) or equivalent national level examinations or are in receipt of fellowships like DST/DBT/DAE/CSIR/QIP/ ICMR/DRDO/ INSPIRE etc will be exempted from the entrance test.
