Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into four year Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) program in various specializations for 2012-13.

• B.Tech in Applied Electronics & Instrumentation
• B.Tech in Civil Engineering
• B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering
• B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering
• B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering
• B.Tech in Information Technology
• B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering 

Eligibility Conditions

• Indian nationals who satisfy the following academic requirements are eligible to apply.
  
  
• Pass in HSE of Kerala Board or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Math’s put together and a separate minimum of 50% in Math’s. The above marks will be relaxed by 5% in the case of candidates belong to OBC and a pass in the case of SC/ST candidates.
  
  
• Should have secured a rank in the engineering entrance examination held by the Commissioner for Entrance Exam, Government of Kerala.
  
  
• Applicants should have completed 17 years of age as on 31^st Dec, 2012. 

How to Apply

• The prospectus along with application form can be obtained from the college on payment of Rs.400 (Rupees Four Hundred only).
  
  
• Application forms can be downloaded from the website of the college. Such applications have to be submitted along with a DD of Rs.400 in favor of Jyothi Engineering College, payable at Thrissur.
  
  
• Filled up forms can be submitted direct to Admission Office, or send by speed post to Jyothi Engineering College, Jyothi Hills, Vettikkattiri (PO.), Thrissur - 679531.
  
  
• Application forms can be submitted online on the website of the college. After submission a printout of the application along with copies of documents and DD of Rs.400 in favor of the college shall be submitted.
  
  
• All applicants are requested to note their application no. and collect acknowledgement for future reference.
  
  
• Separate number will be assigned to downloaded application forms, and online applications when it is received in the admission office with necessary application fee. Those numbers will be put on the college website and will not be sent to the applicants individually. They have to note it from website.
  
  
• Applications submitted to the college should be complete in all respects. The candidate should fill in all the items in the application form in his/her own handwriting. 

Selection Procedure

• Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of merit only by adding marks obtained in the entrance examination conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations Kerala and the marks obtained for Mathematics, Physics in the qualifying examination.
  
  
• The marks will be apportioned in the ratio of 50:50.
  
  
• The marks obtained in the CBSE & ICSE exam will be subjected to the normalization process.
