Eligibility Conditions 

• Scientist B (Tree Physiology / Silviculture / Forest Ecology / Wood Science / Statistics / Forest Entomology / Soil Science / GIS / Forest Protection / Ecophysiology / Landscape Ecology / Forest Biotechnology)
• M Sc Degree in Botany / Plant Ecology / Forestry / Natural Resource Management / Wood Science & Technology / Statistics / Zoology / Agriculture / Environmental Science / Biotechnology with specialization in the relevant subject from a recognized University / Institute
• PhD Degree in Botany / Forestry / Plant Ecology / Wood Science & Technology / Statistics / Biostatistics / Genetical Statistics / Design of Experiments / Econometrics / Zoology / Soil Science / Agricultural Chemistry / Environmental Science / Biotechnology with specialization in the relevant subject from a recognized University
• Research experience in the relevant subjects is desirable.
• Scientist E1 (Genetics & Tree Breeding / Remote Sensing / Forest Botany / Wildlife Biology / Forest Pathology)
• M Sc Degree in Plant Genetics and Plant Breeding / Botany /Forestry / Biological Science / Zoology / Wildlife Biology / Ecology / Mycology / Plant Pathology / Agriculture from a recognized University / Institute
• PhD Degree in Plant Genetics and Plant Breeding / Botany /Forestry / Biological Science / Systematics of Lower Groups of Plants / Zoology / Wildlife Biology / Ecology / Mycology / Plant Pathology / Agriculture with specialization in the relevant subject from a recognized University
• Minimum 5 years of post doctoral experience in the relevant field is desirable. 

Required Age

• 35 years: Scientist B
• 40 years: Scientist E1
• Age relaxation for OBC / SC / ST candidates provided as per government norms.
