Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into various post graduate (PG) programs which includes Integrated M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Genomics, two year Master of Science (M.Sc) in Microbial Gene Technology, Biochemical Technology, Sub -Aqua Marine Ecology & Toxicogenomics and Electronics and Instrumentation, three year Master of Computer Applications (MCA) and two year Master of Arts (M.A) Administrative studies for 2013-14. 

Eligibility Conditions

For Integrated M.Sc and Ph.D. in Genomics

• A bachelor's degree in any branch of Life Sciences (Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Genetics or equivalent), Physical and Chemical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry), Medicine, Veterinary and Agriculture from any recognized Indian or Foreign University, with 55% marks or equivalent are eligible to apply.
  
  
• Students with B.Tech degrees in Biotechnology, Computer Science, Information Technology and Bioinformatics with Biology at +2 are also eligible.

• Prospectus and application can be downloaded from the official website.
  
  
• Registration fee is Rs.600.
  
  
• A demand draft drawn in favor of the Registrar, Madurai Kamaraj University, payable at Madurai towards registration fee as prescribed by the University should be enclosed. SC/ST candidates are exempted from the payment of registration fee for only one course.
  
  
• Filled-in application should be sent on or before the last date specified to:

Selection Procedure

• The selection of candidate is based on the marks in the entrance test conducted by   Madurai Kamaraj University and the short-listed candidates will be called for seminar presentation and interview conducted by Madurai Kamaraj University at Madurai for the following courses:
  • Integrated M.Sc. Ph.D. in Genomics
  • M.Sc. Microbial Gene Technology
  • M.Sc. Biochemical Technology
  • M.Sc. Sub-Aqua Marine Ecology & Toxicogenomics
  • M.Sc. Electronics and Instrumentation
• The selection of candidate is based on the marks in the entrance test conducted by  Madurai Kamaraj University and the short-listed candidates will be called for group discussion & personal interview conducted by Madurai  Kamaraj University at Madurai for:
  • MCA - Master of Computer Applications
  • M.A in Administrative Studies 

Important Dates

• Last date for submitting filled-in application: 6^th Feb, 2013 (Wednesday)
• Date of entrance test for Integrated M.Sc and Ph.D, M.Sc, M.A: 9^th Mar, 2013 (Saturday)
• Date of entrance test for MCA and M.Sc. (SAME & TG): 10^th Mar, 2013 (Sunday)
