Malwa bank invites online applications from qualified and eligible Candidates for the recruitment of Officer Scale-I,II/ Office Asst which are mentioned below in detail.. The eligible candidates have to apply their application through online mode from 4^th Oct, 2011 to 03^rd Nov, 2011.

Selection Process

Selection process consists of written test & Interview for all posts. The selection of the candidates shall be made on the basis of performance in written test (70 marks) and interview (30 marks).

Eligibility Criteria

(A) Nationality / Citizenship:

• [a]. A candidate must be either (i) a citizen of India, OR (ii) a subject of Nepal, OR (iii) subject of Bhutan, OR (iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, OR (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania ( formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar ), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
• Domicile:
  • For the post of Office Assistant candidate must be a domicile of Punjab.{The Domicile Certificate should have been issued before the closing date of applications, i.e.,  3^rd Nov, 2011 and should be valid on the date of Malwa Gramin Bank Job application as well as at the time of Malwa Gramin Bank 2011 interview.}
• [b]. The candidate must have proficiency in local language i.e. Punjabi and must have passed “Punjabi” as one of the subjects at Matriculation / Senior School Certificate ( old pattern ) / Graduation or at equivalent level.

(B) Educational Qualification for Malwa Gramin Bank Vacancies 2011 ( as on 30^th Nov, 2011 ) :

  Degree from a recognized University in any discipline or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
  Preference will be given to the candidates having Degree / Diploma in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Co – operation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years experience as an Officer in any Bank or Financial Institutions.
• Post Code 02: Malwa Gramin Bank Officer Scale – II Recruitment 2011
  • (I) Information Technology:
    Degree from a recognized University in Electronics / Communication / Computer Science / Information Technology or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
    Desirable: Certificate in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP etc.
    Experience: One year.
  • (II) General Banking Officer:
    Degree from a recognized University in any discipline or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Preference will be given to the candidates having degree / diploma in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Co – operation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy.
    Experience: Two years as an officer in Bank or Financial Institution.
• Post Code 03: Malwa Gramin Bank Officer Scale – I Vacancies 2011
  (i) Bachelor degree of a recognized University in any discipline or its equivalent.
  Preference will be given to the candidates having degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy;
  (ii) Proficiency in local language i.e. Punjabi and must have passed “ Punjabi ” as one of the subject at Matriculation / Senior School Certificate ( old pattern ) / Graduation or at equivalent level.,
  (iii) Computer knowledge or awareness will be an added qualification.

  (i) Bachelor Degree or its equivalent of a recognized University in any discipline.
  (ii) (a) Essential : Proficiency in local language i.e. Punjabi and must have passed “ Punjabi ” as one of the subject at Matriculation / Senior School Certificate ( old pattern ) / Graduation or at equivalent level.
  (b) Desirable: Knowledge of Computer skills.

Age limit (as on 1^st Aug, 2011)

• Officer Scale III: Maximum 40 years
• Officer Scale II: Above 21 years but below 32 years
• Officer Scale I: Above 18 years but below 28 years
• Office Assistant: Between 18 years and 28 years

Application Fee

• (i).For all Officers: Application fee for General and OBC candidate is Rs 500 and fee for SC/ ST/ PWD/ Ex- Servicemen candidate is Rs 100.
• (ii).For Office Assistant: Application fee for General and OBC candidate is Rs 400 and fee for SC/ ST/ PWD/ Ex- Servicemen candidate is Rs 100.
• Application fees need to be paid through the Challan Form available on the website http://www.malwagraminbank.com/ After filling up the required information on the Challan Form, they should make payment of the fee applicable to them in any of the following banks Malwa Gramin Bank OR State Bank of Patiala: The list of branches together with Code numbers is available on Malwa Bank's Website for information of the candidates.
