Applications are invited from experienced professionals for the posts of Deans in various departments for the following positions:

• Dean, Department of Agricultural Biotechnology
• Dean, Department of Food Science & Biotechnology
• Dean, Department of Nutritional Science & Biotechnology 

Imp.

• Candidates will be recruited purely on direct recruitment or deputation basis. Appointment of the candidates is to be done on contract basis for a period of 5 years or till the age of 60 years, whichever is earlier. 

• Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of personal interview. Only suitable candidates will be called for the interview by the selection committee.

Eligibility Conditions 

• PhD Degree in Plant Molecular Biology, Food Science & Technology, Nutritional Science, Biochemical or Bioprocess Engineering or related subject area, as applicable to establish the above three Centers
  
  
• Minimum 15 years of working experience at a high position in a research / teaching Institute / University / Industry
  
  
• Should have published highest standards research or technologies work in established utility
  
  
• Should have excellent credentials in Scientific, Academic and Technological Achievements
  
  
• Minimum 3 years of working experience as Head of R&D in a reputed Academic / Research Institute or Industry in Agriculture, Food or Nutrition as appropriate to the three Centers is desirable.
  
  
• Should have ability to demonstrate and create new knowledge in the area of expertise or can translate latest innovations to develop new processes or products
  
  
• Should have ability to network with National and Global Institutes and Industries 

Required Age

• Candidates should be below the age of 55 years.
  
  
• Age relaxation for SC / ST / OBC candidates provided as per government norms.

• Candidates can also obtain the application form by post, by sending a request to The Administrative Officer, National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute, C-127, Phase VIII, Industrial Area, SAS Nagar, Mohali (Punjab) – 160071.
  
  
• For paying the application fees, candidates should obtain a DD for Rs.100 drawn from State Bank of India, in favor of National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute, Mohali, payable at Phase-1 Br., Mohali.
  
  
• Application form, duly complete in all respect, along with a passport-size photograph, attested photocopies of all relevant certificates, 3 confidential letters of recommendations & research publications, and 1000 word write-up on the vision of how BPU should be developed through the next ten years, etc., should be submitted to The Executive Director, National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute (NABI), C-127, Industrial Area, Phase 8, SAS Nagar, Mohali (Punjab) -160071, by post on or before 30^th Jun, 2012.
  
  
• Candidates should mention Application for the post of Dean, Department of Biotechnology on the envelope in which the form would be sent.
  
  
• Candidates also have to email a soft copy of application form, along with minimum five Confidential Letters of Reference Addressed, and Synopsis-Sheet (in EXCEL Format only) available on NABI website, on the Email ID of Executive Director: rdean@nabi.res.in, by mentioning the name of the post of the subject line.
