Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into full time Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Integrated PhD program in Neuroscience for 2012-14. 

Eligibility Conditions

For PhD

• Master's degree or equivalent in any branch of science such as Life Science / Physics/ Chemistry / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer application / Pharmacy / Veterinary Science/ Psychology or A minimum of four-year bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering / Technology / Medicine.

For Integrated PhD

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any branch of science such as Life Science / Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer applications / Pharmacy / Veterinary Science / Psychology / Engineering / Technology / Medicine. 

How to Apply

• Interested candidates can apply online by filling up the application form made available on NBCR’s website: http://specialtest.in/nbrc2012/.
• Take the print out of online application form and please affix a self-attested passport size photograph at the appropriate place and  send it to "Registrar, National Brain Research Centre, Nainwal Mode, NH-8, Manesar – 122 050 " so as to reach on or before April 13, 2012 along with the Demand Draft of any nationalized bank for the requisite amount (Rs 700/- or Rs 350/- as applicable) drawn in favor of Director, NBRC.
• Registration process will be completed only on receipt of print version of online application form along with demand draft and self attested copies of the certificates/testimonials in respect of proof of age, qualification, category etc.  

Selection Procedure

Shortlisted candidates after the written test will be called for a two-tier interview at NBRC. The final selection will be based on the performance in the interview. 

Important Dates

• Last date of availability of online application form: Monday,  9^th April, 2012
• Last Date of receipt of the Filled Forms along with registration slip and copies of self attested testimonials: Friday,  13^th April, 2012
• Written Entrance Examination for Integrated Ph.D (Neuroscience): Sunday,  13^th May, 2012 from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon
• Written Entrance Examination for Ph.D (Neuroscience): Sunday,  13^th May, 2012 from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm
