Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the following posts:

• Scientist – D (Medical): 01 Post
• Scientist – C (Medical Microbiology): 01 Post
• Scientist – C (Medical): 03 Posts

Eligibility Conditions

For Scientist – D (Medical): 01 Post

• MBBS degree recognised by MCI.
• Eight years Clinical research experience in Medicine / Pulmonology / Chest Diseases / Pediatrics / Community Medicine in recognised institutes after obtaining essential qualification (i) out of which at least 2 years in a managerial position to handle R&D projects in a team effectively in a directing capacity.

For Scientist – C (Medical Microbiology)

• MBBS degree recognised by MCI Or 1st class Masters degree in Medical Microbiology / any other related Biological / Life Sciences subject or equivalent degree from a recognised university. Or 2nd class M.Sc. in Medical Microbiology + Ph.D. degree in Microbiology / any other related Biological / Life Sciences subject from a recognised university
• Four years R&D experience in Microbiology / Pharmacology / Genetics after obtaining essential qualification.

For Scientist – C (Medical)

• MBBS degree recognised by MCI.
• Four years R&D experience in Medicine / Pediatrics / Community Medicine/Public Health/ Epidemiology / Pulmonology / Chest / TB / HIV after obtaining essential qualification.

Applications Fee

• Crossed DD of Rs.100 payable to the Director, National Institute for Research in Tuberculosis, Chennai. SC / ST/ women and physically handicapped candidates (PH) are exempted from the application fee.
