Eligibility Conditions
For Professor (Biostatistics / Neuropathology)
- MA / M Sc Degree in Statistics (Bio-Statistics) orits equivalent qualification with 1st class division, withPh D Degree / D Sc Degree in Statistics (Bio-Statistics) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized University / Institute Or
- MD Degree in Pathology / MD Degree in Pathology & Bacteriology for Medical or M Sc Degree in Medical Pathology with PhD Degree in Pathology / D Sc Degree in Pathology / Specialty Board of Pathology (USA) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized University with minimum 2 years of training in Neuropathology
- Minimum 13 years of teaching or research experience in a recognized Institute in the relevant discipline
- Candidates should be below the age of 50 years.
For Additional Professor (Neurochemistry / Neurology / Neuroanaesthesia / Epidemiology / Clinical Psychology / Neurology / Neurosurgery / Psychiatry / Epidemiology / Health Education / Psychiatric Social Work / Psychiatric & Neurological Rehabilitation / Clinical Psychology / Critical Care / Speech Pathology & Audiology)
- Master’s Degree / Doctorate Degree / PhD Degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized University / Institute
- Minimum 3-9 years of working experience in the relevant field, as per qualification in the related field
For Medical Physicist / Lecturer
- M Sc Degree in Medical Physics or M Sc Degree in Physics with Diploma in Radiation Physics from a recognized University / Institute
- Minimum 3 years of post qualification working experience in the relevant field
- Candidates should be below the age of 40 years.
For Librarian
- Master’s Degree in Library & Information Science from a recognized University / Institute
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in Academic Research / Universities
- Good working knowledge of Computer Application & Programming
- Candidates should be below the age of 30 years.
For Library Assistant
- Master’s Degree in Library & Information Science from a recognized University
- Good working knowledge of Computer Application & Programming
- Candidates should be below the age of 30 years.
For Tailor
- Passed in SSLC from a recognized Board
- Certificate in the respective field from a recognized Institute
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in the relevant field
- Candidates should be below the age of 30 years.
For Lecturer (Obstetrics & Gynecological Nursing / Paediatric Nursing / Community Nursing)
- M Sc Degree in Nursing with specialization in Obstetrics & Gynecological / Paediatric Nursing / Community Health Nursing from a recognized University / Institute
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in the relevant field
- Candidates should be below the age of 35 years.
For General Duty Medical Officer
- MBBS Degree or its equivalent qualification from a recognized University / Institute
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in the relevant field
- Candidates should be below the age of 40 years.
Application Fee
- Part A: Rs 700/- (General / OBC) & Rs 500/- (SC / ST candidates)
- Part B & C: Rs 500/- (General / OBC) & Rs 300/- (SC / ST candidates)

- For paying the application fees, candidates should obtain a DD for Rs 300 / Rs 500 / Rs 700, drawn in favor of Director, NIMHANS, Bangalore, payable at Bangalore.
- Application form, duly complete in all respect along with the DD and attested photocopies of all relevant certificates / documents, should be submitted to the Director, NIMHANS, P B No. 2900, D R College Post, Bangalore (Karnataka) - 560029, by post on or before April 30, 2012.
- Candidates applying for various posts should apply with separate application form & DD for each post.
