Applications are invited from eligible and experienced candidates for various posts for the following positions:

• Director (North Eastern Regional Centre, Guwahati)
• Assistant Professors [Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation / Agrarian Studies / Natural Resource Management / Self Employment / Wage Employment / Rural Enterprise / Rural Livelihoods / Tribal Studies / Equity on Social Development / Rural Marketing / Panchayati Raj / Quantitative Techniques / Media Studies / Mass Communication / Distance Education / ICT / Geo-information Application in Rural Development]

• Candidate’s appointment is to be done on deputation basis for a period of three years. Selection of the candidate will be done on the basis of Interview. Only short-listed candidates will be called for the Interview. The interview schedule and centre address will be intimated to all short-listed candidates, by the screening committee. Eligibility Conditions

For Director (North Eastern Regional Centre, Guwahati)

• Post Graduate Degree in the relevant discipline with minimum 55% and above marks in aggregate or first / high second class division, with PhD Degree in any of the Social Sciences Discipline / Agriculture and Allied Sciences / Rural Development from a recognized University
  
  
• Minimum 10 years of work experience in teaching in a recognized University, or training in a recognized Institute in Rural Development and related disciplines, of which minimum 5 years of experience should be in Planning, and conducting Rural Development Training and Research, at the level of a Reader of a University or its equivalent thereto
  
  
• Minimum 3 years of work experience as Head of an organization / Centre / Faculty / Department, and have engaged in Rural Development Research and Training
  
  
• Should have independent research experience, with published books and research papers in the relevant field
  
  
• Should have ability to coordinate and maintain good working relations with the State / Central Government Agencies and other Public / Corporate / Private Institutions working in the field of Rural Development
  
  
• Must have ability to provide administrative as well as academic leadership, and to plan & organize, and attend to different activities relevant to the management of a training-cum-research organization

For Assistant Professors [Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation / Agrarian Studies / Natural Resource Management / Self Employment / Wage Employment / Rural Enterprise / Rural Livelihoods / Tribal Studies / Equity on Social Development / Rural Marketing / Panchayati Raj / Quantitative Techniques / Media Studies / Mass Communication / Distance Education / ICT / Geo-information Application in Rural Development]

• Post Graduate Degree with minimum 55% and above marks in aggregate, with PhD Degree in Social / Physical Sciences / Agricultural Sciences / Computer Sciences / Statistics / Management from a recognized University
                        Or
  Master’s Degree in any of the Technical disciplines with high 2nd class division, with PhD Degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized University
                      Or
  M.Tech Degree in any of the Engineering disciplines with high 2nd class division from a recognized University
  
  
• Minimum two years of experience in teaching in a recognized University, or training in a reputed Institute, or relevant field experience in any Engineering / Technological area relevant to Rural Development
  
  
• Should have independent research experience, with published books and research papers in the relevant field
