Applications are invited from eligible candidtaes for admission into following programme for 2013-14.

• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Civil Engineering
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Mechanical Engineering
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Electrical Engineering
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Electronics & Communication Engineering
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Chemical Engineering
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Metallurgical & Materials Engineering
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Mining Engineering
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Computer Science and Engineering

Eligibility Conditions

• Candidates who have passed the prescribed qualifying examination with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 6.5 in the 0-10 scale grading system, or not less than 60% marks in the aggregate (taking into account the marks scored in all the subjects of all the public/university examinations conducted during the entire prescribed period for the degree program) are eligible to apply.

• The completed application form is to be sent to the Dy. Registrar (Academic) NITK, along with necessary D.D. for Rs.500 (in case of SC/ST Rs.150) drawn in favour of the Director, National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, Srinivasnagar, payable at State Bank of India, Surathkal/ Canara Bank NITK Campus Branch Surathkal.

Selection Procedure

• Selection will be made on the basis of selection test and/or interview conducted by the institute.

• Last date for receiving completed applications: 25^th Nov, 2013 (Monday)
• Date of selection test: 16^th Dec, 2013 (Monday)
