Applications are invited from knowledgeable and skillful Indian candidates for various posts for the following posts:

• Scientist B (Medical)
• Scientist B (Non Medical)
• Technician C (DEO)
• Technician C (Lab)
• Multi Tasking Staff (Attendant) 

Note

• Candidate’s appointment is to be done on temporary basis, for Non-Institutional ad-hoc projects i.e., National Hospital Based Rotavirus Surveillance Network (Referral site), and National Hospital Based Rotavirus Surveillance Network (Peripheral site). Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of Walk-in Interview. The interview is scheduled to be held as follows:
  • 25^th Mar, 2013: Scientist B (Medical) / Scientist B (Non Medical) / Technician C (DEO)
  • 26^th Mar, 2013: Technician C (Lab) / Multi Tasking Staff (Attendant)
    
    
• The interview will be held at National Institute of Virology, 20-A, Dr. Ambedkar Road, Post Box No. 11, Pune (Maharashtra) - 411001, from 09.00 am onwards. Eligibility Conditions 

For Scientist B (Medical)

• MBBS Degree from a reputed Institute
  
  
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in the relevant field
  
  
• MD Degree in PSM / MPH or Diploma in Public Health from a reputed Institute is desirable.
  
  
• Should have work experience in Project Management
  
  
• Good knowledge of Computer Applications

For Scientist B (Non Medical)

• Master’s Degree in Life Sciences in Biochemistry / Microbiology / Biotechnology / Virology with 1st class division from a recognized University / Institute, and minimum 2 years of work experience in the relevant field
                                                          Or
  Master’s Degree in Life Sciences in Biochemistry / Microbiology / Biotechnology / Virology with 2nd class division, with PhD Degree in the relevant subject from a recognized University
  
  
• Doctorate Degree in Life Sciences in Biochemistry / Microbiology / Biotechnology / Virology from a recognized University is desirable.
  
  
• Should have post doctoral research / teaching experience in the relevant subjects
  
  
• Good knowledge of Computer Applications

For Technician C (DEO)

• Passed 10+2 in Science Subjects from a recognized Board / University
  
  
• One year of Diploma in Data Entry from a recognized Institute
  
  
• Minimum one year of work experience in data entry
  
  
• Should have good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access and Integrated Databases
  
  
• Experience of Data Entry in Research Project is desirable
  
  
• Should have competence in Documentation and Preparation of Reports

For Technician C (Lab)

• Passed 10+2 in Science Subjects from a recognized Board / University
  
  
• One year of Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized Institute
  
  
• Minimum one year of work experience in the relevant field
  
  
• B.Sc Degree in Life Sciences in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Zoology / Chemistry is desirable.
  
  
• Should have laboratory experience in Serology / Molecular Biology Techniques
  
  
• Good knowledge of Computer Applications

For Multi Tasking Staff (Attendant)

• Passed SSC / Matric qualification from a recognized Board
  
  
• Computer Application Course from a recognized Institute
  
  
• Experience in Laboratory Work is desirable. 

Age Limit

• 35 years: Scientist B
• 30 years: Technician C
• 25 years: Multi Tasking Staff (Attendant)
• Age relaxation for SC/ ST / OBC / PH candidates provided as per government norms.

• Candidates, who fulfill the eligibility criteria and are willing to apply, can appear for the Walk-in Interview.
