Type: Employment Notices

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the following posts of Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) in Miscellaneous Categories and Regional Language Teachers (RLTs). The recruitment is going to be held on direct basis, for several Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas situated in various districts of the country.

• Art Teacher - 59 Posts
• Music Teacher - 42 Posts
• Physical Education Teachers (Female) - 74 Posts
• Physical Education Teachers (Male) - 47 Posts
• Librarian - 40 Posts
• Regional Language Teachers - 310 Posts

Note             

• Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of written examination, to be conducted by NVS.
• Schedule of the written test will be informed personally to all short-listed candidates.

Eligibility Conditions

For Art Teacher

• Should have obtained five year recognized Diploma in any discipline of fine arts as Drawing / Painting / Sculpture / Graphic Arts / Crafts after completing Std X examination or equivalent
• Should have PG degree in Drawing and Painting, Fine Arts from a recognized University / Institution
• Should have obtained four year Diploma in Fine Arts / Crafts from Vishwa Bharti Shanti Niketan
• Should have B Ed / Diploma in Fine Arts from Regional College of Education
• Should have B Ed or equivalent teaching degree from any recognized University
• Should have working knowledge of English and Hindi or other Regional Language (as per Regional Language option given in the application format)
• Should have working experience in a residential school

For Music Teacher

• Should have completed five years study in a music institution recognized by the concerned State Govt. or equivalent to UG/PG degree
• Should have obtained Bachelor’s degree in Music from a recognized University along with B.Ed
• Should have completed Std X / Std XII with Sangeet-Visharad examination from any of the following institutes: Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Bombay / Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapeeth, Lucknow / Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwa Vidyalaya, Khairagarh(MP) / Sangeet Prabhakar examination of Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad
• Should have obtained the following Degree / Diploma awarded by Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh: Sangeet Bhaskar with graduation in any discipline or Sangeet Nritya Bhusan with graduation in any discipline Sangeet Bhushan or Sangeet Nritya Visharad with Sr. Seccondary / Intermediate / Part-1 Examination of 3 years degree course

For Physical Education Teachers (PETs)

• Should have obtained Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from a recognized institution
• Should have completed D.P.Ed from a recognized University / Institution provided that the admission qualification for the diploma is at least a University’s Degree
• Should have working knowledge of English and Hindi or other Regional Language (as per Regional Language option given in the application format)
• Should have working experience in a residential school

For Librarian

• Should have obtained University’s Degree in Library Science from a recognized institution
• Should have completed Bachelor’s degree with one year Diploma in Library Science from a recognized Institution
• Should have working knowledge of English and Hindi or other Regional Language (as per Regional Language option given in application format)
• Should have working experience in a residential school
• Should have knowledge of computer operations

For Regional Language Teachers

• Should have obtained Bachelor’s degree in Concerned Regional Language as an elective subject
• Should have completed B.Ed or equivalent qualification from a recognized University
• Should have competency in teaching through English & Hindi / concerned Regional Language as the case may be
• Should have knowledge of Computer applications
• Should have working experience in a residential school

Required Age

Candidates should be within 35 years of age as on   31^st Jan, 2012. 

Application Fee: Rs.500 - General / OBC candidates

SC/ST/Physically Handicapped/Ex-Servicemen/Female candidates are exempted from any amount of application fees.

How to Apply

• Candidates, who fulfill the eligibility criteria and are willing to apply, can download the application format from the official link of NVS: www.navodaya.nic.in/RecruitmentMisc2012/RecruitmentMisc2012.doc.
• The application fees of Rs.500 (in case General / OBC candidates) can be paid in the form of Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favor of Deputy Commissioner, NVS, Concerned Regional Office (as mentioned on the website).
• However, no other form of paying application fees will be entertained.
• Duly filled in and completed application form, along with the Xerox copy of all required testimonials and DD, should be super scribed in bold letters as “Application for the Post of ________________________ (Art/Music/Librarian/PET as the case may) in_________________ subject" and submitted to the concerned regional office (details available on the website) by ordinary post only.
