Eligibility Conditions

For Director-Professor

PhD Degree in the concerned / relevant discipline from a recognized University
Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering / Computer Science and Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical and Electronics Engineering / Information Technology with 1^st class division from a recognized University
Should have published high quality of workwith a minimum of 10 publications as books / research / policy papers
Minimum 10 years of teaching experience in University / College or experience in Research at the University / National level institutions / industries
Must have the minimum score of 400 points as specified in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) set out in the UGC Regulations of 2010 in Appendix III
Candidates should be below the age of 60 years.

For Professor

PhD Degree in the concerned / relevant discipline from a recognized University
Should have published high quality of workwith a minimum of 10 publications as books / research / policy papers
Minimum 10 years of teaching experience in University / College or experience in Research at the University / National level institutions / industries
Should have contributed in various educational innovation, design of new curricula & courses and technology
Must have obtained a minimum score of 400 points as specified in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) set out in the UGC Regulations of 2010 in Appendix III

For Associate Professor

PhD Degree in the concerned / relevant discipline with good academic record from a recognized University
Master’s Degree in the relevant disciplines with minimum 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized University / Institute
Minimum 8 years of teaching experience on a position of Assistant professor in University / College
Should have published high quality of work with a minimum of 5 publications as books / research / policy papers
Should have contributed in various educational innovation, design of new curricula & courses and technology
Must have obtained a minimum score of 400 points as specifiedin the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in the UGC Regulations of 2010 in Appendix III

For Assistant Professor

Master’s Degree in the relevant disciplines with minimum 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized University / Institute
Candidates should have qualified NET / SLET / SET conducted by the UGC/CSIR.
Candidates having PhD Degree are exempted from the condition of qualifying the NET / SLET / SET examinations.

For Assistant Professor-Cum-Assistant Director

Master’s Degree in Social Science with minimum 55% marks or its equivalent grade from a recognized University / Institute
Candidates should have qualified NET / SLET / SET conducted by the UGC/CSIR or should have PhD Degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized University

Candidates can buy the application form directly from the Form Sale Counter, Panjab University, Chandigarh, in the reverse payment of cash amount of Rs 375/- / Rs 150/-
Candidates applying through downloaded application form are required to obtain a DD for Rs 375/- /Rs 150/- drawn in favor of Registrar, Panjab University, Chandigarh, payable at Chandigarh, to pay the application fee.
Application form duly complete in all respect along with the DD should be submitted to the Deputy Registrar (Estt.), Panjab University, Chandigarh - 160014.
