In accordance with the Union Government Act, which requires all centrally funded educational institutes to implement 27 per cent OBC quota in admissions.Taking up related proposal from the Health Ministery,the CCEA approved the expansion in the number of seats of the premiere institute.There will be additional 214 postgraduate seats increasing the total number of PG seats from 396 to 610.Another 192 seats will be added in nursing coursing taking the total seats from 360 to 552.Besides these there will be an increase of 87 seats in paramedical courses taking them to 247 in all.
