Note

Candidates’ selection will be made on the basis of Written Examination, followed by Departmental Assessment and Interview. The examination, departmental assessment and interview schedule is as follows:

For Senior Residents

• 21^st Jun, 2012: Written Examination
• 22^nd Jun, 2012: Departmental Assessment
• 23^rd Jun, 2012: Interview by Selection Committee

For Senior Medical Officers (Casualty in Emergency)

• 22^nd Jun, 2012: Written Examination
• 23^rd Jun, 2012: Departmental Assessment
• 24^th Jun, 2012: Interview by Selection Committee

For Junior / Senior Demonstrators and Tutor (Medical)

• 23^rd Jun, 2012: Written Examination
• 24^th Jun, 2012: Departmental Assessment
• 25^th Jun, 2012: Interview by Selection Committee

Eligibility Conditions

For Senior Residents

• Should have Medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part-II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (person possessing qualifications included in the Part-II of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section 13 (3) of the Act).
  
  
• Must have registered with the Central / State Medical Council
  
  
• MD / MS Degree in the concerned speciality or its equivalent qualification from a recognized University

For Senior Medical Officers (Casualty in Emergency)

• Should have Medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part-II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (person possessing qualifications included in the Part-II of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section 13 (3) of the Act).
  
  
• Must have registered with the Central / State Medical Council
  
  
• MD / MS Degree in Medicine / Surgery from a recognized University

For Junior / Senior Demonstrators

• Senior Demonstrators: M Sc Degree in concerned speciality with PhD Degree in the allied subject from a recognized University
  
  
• Junior Demonstrators: M Sc Degree in concerned speciality from a recognized University

For Tutor (Medical) in Transfusion Medicine

• Should have a Medical qualification included in the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (MBBS Degree) with one year of working experience in the relevant field
  
  
• Must have registered with the State / Central Medical Council 

Application Fee

• Rs.500 General / OBC candidates
• Rs.250 SC / ST candidates 

How to Apply

• Willing candidates can download the Application Format and Challan from the official link of PGIMER Chandigarh: http://220.156.188.51:9080/AHIMS/startup/index5.html
  
  
• For downloading the Application Form and Challan, candidates have to fill the details i.e., Advertisement No., Post Code No., Category and Date of Birth, on the page and submit, and take a printout of the form.
  
  
• Candidates can pay the application fees of Rs.500 / Rs.250, through Triplicate Challan in any branch of State Bank of India, in the “Power Jyoti” PUL Current Account of PGIMER and Account No. 32211613319.
  
  
• After submission of the application fees, the bank will generate a Transaction No. / Challan No., Branch Name and Date of Deposit & Amount, of which candidates should take a printout and keep with them for the further process.
  
  
• Downloaded Application form, duly complete in all respect, along with the PGIMER Challan copy and attested (by Gazetted Officer) photocopies of all relevant documents, should be submitted to the Assistant Administrative Officer (Recruitment Cell), PGIMER, Sector 12, Chandigarh - 160012, by registered / speed post on or before 7^th Jun, 2012.
