The Department of Botany at Panjab University has invited applications for UGC BSR Research Fellowship (5 in number) in Sciences for Meritorious Students (Botany).
Eligibility Conditions
Aspiring candidates should be M.Sc. in Botany with at least 55% marks. However candidates who are enrolled/registered or eligible for enrollment/registration for Ph.D. in the subject of Botany as per the P.U. guidelines and have passed entrance test of Panjab University or UGC/CSIR/SLET/GATE/ (JRF) Examination are eligible.
Fellowship Grant:
For Non UGC/CSIR/SLET/GATE/ (J0RF) Examination and P.U. Ph.D. Entrance Test Qualified candidates:
For UGC/CSIR/SLET/GATE/ (JRF) Examination qualified candidates:
Selection Procedure:
Candidates will be selected based on approval given by the UGC. The fellowship will be awarded based on norms of government and not the Department of Botany or the University.
Preference for selection will be given to those who are not getting fellowship but are otherwise eligible for the grant.
Selected candidates who are eligible for enrollment will have to submit duly completed enrollment form within three days of the selection failing which the selection shall get cancelled without any prior notice.
How to apply:
The candidates will have to write the application on a plain paper mentioning all details of bio-data in a prescribed format as mentioned in the official notice of the recruitment notice. Filled in application has to be submitted at the official address.
